Treating Cancer with Stem Cells

 

Research in this area is still relatively new and more work is required. However, some studies have shown that cancers can be treated successfully. For instance, studies on other animals have show promise. The stem cells appear to inhibit proliferation of cancer stem cells.

Note that treating patients with Lymphoma already is underway using stem cells. Although the stem cells are not used for the actual destruction of the cancer cells but rather to replace the cells critical in maintaining the patients immune system..
